Felsenmirror is a new but not novel outfit where we will find musicians from other incredible Portland bands like Augurs, Usnea, Atriarch… Just a detail that will help you understand how they came to sound like they know all the ways around doom metal, black metal, and their derivatives.

She/he/they/them aimed to play music that would reflect the dualities of life, and how much they met their goal with their first s/t release. Lyrically based on the stages of grief beginning with denial, and eventually acceptance and letting go. Musically, using the density of doom and sludge, the sad but beautiful mesmerizing effect of atmospheres and post-metal to help “process the fragility of things”, and faster, angrier black metal-oriented momentums.

Italian Black Metal. A one man, Chaos Luciferi, project. Raw & melodious & melancholic all the way. I would say this is Chaos' best so far! Fantastic melodies & atmospheres & new ideas! Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
