Maridia is a grim post-hardcore/metal band from Sweden that released its first long length on March 2023, 'Mouth Of Ruin', and the record was so good we needed to make a vinyl edition for it, and it has united Quebranta Records, Geenger Records, Voice Of The Unheard, Fiadh Productions, Kvlt Und Chaos and Vita Detestabilis!

Maridia’s musical endeavor is to mix the atmosphere and heaviness of post-metal, sludge, and blackgaze but with both the tempo and confrontational aggression of hardcore. They would much rather not limit their music to locked genres but instead gather the experience and influences of the members who over the years have played everything from post-rock, and black metal to melodic crust/d beat, and deathcore.

While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing.
